Viral Marketing
This Wikipedia page was a little confusing to follow on the topic of viral marketing. Marketing is not a topic I'm very interested in so I don't know too much about the strategies and the aspects that come from it. I thought it was interesting how the remarks on how something can become “viral” just because on its popularity when it really doesn't meet the terms of “viral”. Viral marketing can come in many different forms such as clips, games, text messages and social media ads. Viral marketing didn't come about until the 1990’s which I think is kind of interesting but also makes sense because technical technology in recent years has grown a lot and decades ago they didn't have the technology we had today. I think the page talked about a lot of important aspects of our marketing such as influencers messages and social media. It's important to analyze these components when looking at ads and different marketing techniques and strategies when considering products and their effectiveness.
